After traveling the world for more than 20 years, I have seen a lot of places and one thing I know for certain is that Maui is one of the greatest places to be on the planet! I was born and raised in the deserts of Southern California. At age 11, together with my family we discovered windsurfing. It changed our lives. I graduated high school and hit the pro circuit at 18 years old. Talk about a wake up call, WOW! I learned how to survive quickly. Windsurfing turned into a professional career that eventually led to 3 World Titles and lots of victories along the way. There were many highs and several lows dealing with major injuries. I love the comeback trail and thrive building back up to health. It takes 110% commitment and determination. One of my favorite quotes that I live by is, “Things work out best for those who make the best of how things work out.”

After retiring from competing and to this day, I transitioned into teaching windsurfing, doing private lessons and clinics around the globe. My wife and I have two beautiful boys that keep us on our toes! We have a huge passion and love for outdoor activities. Maui has so much to offer both on and off the water! It is an incredible place to live, keeping my family and I busy having fun.
